As boring as watching paint dry!

Despite the fact that tinybitotrouble did not indicate her sex in the bio, it is safe, I think, to assume she is a she. The story had all of the characteristics of woman's talk. It rambled on and on "add nauseum" making little sense along the way, and in the breathless manner in which too many women speak.

There was no dialogue to speak of, and the plot had no substance whatever. I tried to read the story in its entirety, but I must confess to giving up about half of the way through.

Tinybitotrouble is no storyteller...she is more of a lecturer spitting out feminist tripe, or so it seems. Perhaps a different field of endeavor would be appropriate.

Have as good a day as possible!

nice work

Let's get my one quibble out of the way, first. That section of the story where it "suddenly" became the end of summer required the reader to pause. In the immediately preceding, it was time to open the pool, and then it was end of summer; as if the pool opened late in the year. This problem would have been avoided by an added phrase or two at the beginning of that paragraph. Okay, that's out of the way. I liked the story. There's just enough information about her past to explain the nature of her reluctance to get involved, and although it certainly is not a "happily ever after" ending, the overall story is a very plausible plot which is more about the healing process than finding the true "Mr.Right". I liked it.

a good start

Sure there were a few parts that made me stop and say "huh?", but over all I liked it. I can see a great potential for a future chapter since it was hinted that her ex will make an appearance - and I see Tim as her rescuer when he does. Keep the story going tiny - there is nothing wrong with your story telling.
