He left her there, sitting at the table by herself. Being in that room, he felt like he couldn't breathe. Like his soul was ripped out. This sickening, twisted feeling in the pit of his stomach that made him want to hurl himself off a bridge. If he never knew what heartbreak was, he knew it now.
