She turned, walked out of the bedroom and shut the door behind her.
I looked at my phone. It was in my messaging app. It was a text to Shawn and at the beginning of it was the picture she just took of me, and below it she wrote:
"Hi honey. Surprise! Some guys said I could pull my dress off, and I did!"
Tamara was something else.
I thought about what she wrote for a minute and added:
"It turns out I am desirable after all."
And ended it with a wink emoji at the end. I pressed the send button.

I don't fault my husband for what happened during the events above. I was in a spot in my life where I found a lover who complimented my body and craved to have sex with me. Words and actions I never received from my significant other in decades. Finding a person who found me sexually attractive was too much to resist.
