Although I saw the ending coming, the story was pretty well written, so the "4" I gave it said I liked it, even though technically, it was a rape.

Mike could not in ANY WAY way have reasonably thought the note and invitation was for him, but he took advantage and raped the helpless woman who thought she was entertaining her boyfriend.

De facto rape and nonconsent. Mike is a predator, a cad, an ass, and the farthest thing from a friend. What kind of 'friend' takes advantage of his friend's significant other upon finding her in a compromised situation? A friend would have covered and released her, allowing her to get herself together before her boyfriend got home. In the meantime he would have went and scanned the papers his friend was waiting on. By mutual understanding they would have kept the embarrassing situation to themselves perhaps. But Mike did not announce himself as being someone NOT her boyfriend. For Mike to presume that behaving as if he were at home extended to raping his friends girlfriend goes beyond the pale. No SANE and REASONABLE person would see this as anything but a rape. Had she known Mike was in the room and not her boyfriend it seems unlikely she would have agreed to Mike's advances. Her written instructions in the note was not intended for Mike..
