Plenty of action!

Minor criticisms: - instead of "modern boots" you could have used a phrase like "flat boot prints unlike he had ever seen" . - the blue of a boat trip missed a multitude of story development opportunities. I would suspect Vikings would not honour captives with a seat but would insist they lie on the bilge and become soaked by any water coming inboard. The privations of sea travel and any cruelties and kindnesses provided to Louie would help in later relationships of the characters. Louie might ingratiate himself by doing something useful such as bailing out water or doing something noble such as diving overboard to save a captured dog, cat or fellow slave.

So much for the intro. Rating will be given once you tell the story.
