AMA - The Divorcee: Day 11

Really like the overall story. Liked it better when you updated the points frequently. Writing is still clumsy and challenging to get through, primarily because its 2nd person perspective. Lastly, its irritating that some of them call him Junior when he told them he hated it. Not much respect there from people who supposedly love him.

@JohnnyRebBB As I mentioned in a previous comment, I do have an overall story plan, but I like the freedom to be able to play around with certain aspects of the story. Since these are published chapter-to-chapter in the original site, I guess it's a little more obvious when I added more to flesh out what I had in my outline.

Jay does not speak Spanish, nor does Stella. Viv, Tanya, Cassie, and Becca do. My headcanon for it (which, I have admittedly never written into a chapter) is that Cassie and Viv spent time living in a part of the country where Spanish as a second language is more prevalent and, therefore, had to learn it. I was thinking somewhere in California, but I never wanted to put it in writing not identify the setting as a particular city since I think it'll be far more obvious that I'm a foreigner who's only real exposure to the US is from TV and movies XD

As for Tanya, she's born to immigrant parents, so she has stronger ties to her mother language than Viv who I pictured as someone who's grandparents moved as refugees so her connection to Vietnamese language is a little less (something like, she understands it and speaks it with family, but doesn't use it outside that context). As for Becca, I'd just like to think she's a polyglot lol.

Liking the original story even though you seem to want to completely over complicate it all.

Maybe you need to create an overall story plan and discuss it with a collaborator and or editor?

Does your Jay speak Spanish? If not, maybe he needs a language app to understand Tanya? Strange that Viv never uses Vietnamese though

That was the angle I wanted to pursue with my story, that an MC app is only as corrupting as you let it out to be. It's one of the reasons why I introduced the 'Cheater' trait, to show that he won't fall down the same road that ended up hurting him just to get the girl of his dreams for so long. The original story implemented the same rules as to what I'm currently implementing and how it's not exactly absolute power, he was able to resist the corruption as it didn't corrupt absolutely. At least, those were my intentions. I'm glad that it can be inferred from what was written!

Enjoying your story. Still rooting for Stella to get knocked up, even though you just killed my dream.

Love harem stories. Hope you do limit it some. Having 20 women and us readers have hard time keeping up. Looks like your at 8 at the moment.
