The point?

What was the point of this story? If it was a living thing, it would be on life support.

But this kind of thing does happen in the world of Amateur dramatics

I was a member of a local theatre group for several years so I could quite easily see this kind of thing happening.

This was written in a humorous way, which might have put some people off. Too bad.

Happy Families??

All kinds of "entertainment industries" with all kinds of shenanigans!! Everyone seems to accept sex with everyone else!! Seems like you need an "open marriage" for this business!! Heck....more like open relationships, why be married?? In fact there are no relationships except sexual to achieve anything.

A light hearted story but reflect the undertones of reality.

Not Very Likable People

I found it difficult to feel much sympathy for or empathy with any of the characters in this story. The 'conflict' in the story was minimal; hence the 'resolution' was rather trivial.

First

thank you for your first story. Though this category is called loving wives it doesn't mean wives who love others while married. though entertaining to a certain degree the whole wife goes off and sucks and fucks total strangers just to get a role in local theater does not put her self in esteem with the normal (if any of us are normal) reader.

Then to get back at her your protagonist turns around and fucks any thing with out a dick between their legs to get even. Remind me not to go to that theater.

Don't let us discourage from writing, just make sure you are putting your story in the right section, Exhibitionist & Voyeur or Group Sex might have been better choices.

It's your story . . .

So I'm not going to tell -- or even suggest -- the way the plot "ought" to unfold. I suppose there is some reality that the plot reflects (the stage is notorious for emotional and physical excess), but it's not something that appeals to me. Having said that; it wearisome to read a plot that uses what seems to be a standard trope of 99.9999% of LW plot lines:

1. The main male character gets drunk such that rational thought is precluded at a moment when it would be most required.

2. At a critical moment of observing his "Loving Wife" on the verge of, oh, say, adultery, his reaction is to freeze in place, totally locked up -- no speaking, no thinking, no acting, nothing.

And it goes downhill from there.

I suppose some people like such, but I'm not one of them. Sorry.

One of the best

One of the best stories I have read on here. Hope you do many more.

I didnt get it

Is this supposed to be humorous? Satire? tongue in cheek? Is this how real amateur theater works in Great Britain? I am confused? And why do the husbands go along with it...to be stage managers and get plum (yet unpaid) parts? Seems a bit ridiculous but I am not familiar with theater folk.

Brilliant! In the 1980's there was a regular event called 'Bonkers' held in the nightclub of a respectable Birmingham (UK) Hotel. Attracting swingers and exhibitionists which certainly entertained staying business guests. Jenny was recruited as a stripper, she declared her first public striptease 'Bigger turn on than a fuck!'...30 years later, she webcams as Arabella_milf
