but she wasn’t in a position to choose a logical a choice…

Nice try but this is nothing but an attempt to rehabilitate the villain (Tad) and vilify Sandy (the hero of the BTB story line). At least this story line presents a plausible reason for reconsidering the nuclear response Sandy gave to Tad. Don't think it would really have taken that long to draw the conclusion.

In any case, Tad was the foundation for all that occurred so he reaped what he sowed.

This was a good ending for the original story.

I read this 3 months ago and didn't remember it. It is a good story and show a definite lack of communication and understanding between the two adversaries. What he did was wrong but it just a mistake. What she did was wrong and meant hurt her husband and teach him a lesson and that was more wrong than anything. To intentionally hurt someone is being mean cruel and unthoughtful and those actions are not those of a virtuous and understanding person. She was wrong on so many levels and by her actions prove once again man's ability to rationalize anything is unlimited. Above all a truly virtuous person does not choose when to be virtuous, they just are. Good story, some may learn from it.

She was too irrational, hardheaded and too self-centered for Tad to ever consider taking her back. Her hooking up with Burt the 2nd time was clearly the end of their marriage. The first time was way over the top but after that it was like beating a dead horse. You feel better but the horse doesn't care any longer.

It's interesting - if this was a gender swap, the main character would have had a beautiful blonde on his arm and we'd be salivating over how the cheater was burned. We celebrate ott revenge in loving wives stories when the wife makes a single mistake / selfish choice.

This story was realistic and the cheating husband was suuuper hypocritical. Cheats twice but because he gets emasculated in revenge? I'd argue a cheater doesn't get to complain.

I feel sad for the main character and her tragedy is that she leaned too far into things. But so do our revengeful husband main characters in other stories. This story is good for showing how our perspective will shift drastically...

After a wife tells you she just fell out of love and then asks: I just want to go out there and look around, but if it doesn't work out can I come back? For me that was the end of our discussion and the end of our marriage, that's my story. Good writing once again GA!

The wife was a crazed bitch at the very least. Tit for tat cheating sounds fair in stories but hardly qualifies as some relationship repair. Wife became a whore!

You have a way of telling stories of fairly ordinary people and exploring differing life themes. Good job.

I found this a bit hard to believe as a story, to hard characters just very sad.

Tad and Sandy, two screwed people. Tad was stupid and Sandy was just over the top revengeful.

A reasonable ending to a rather sad story.Sandy finally realizes that her rationalizations blinded her to the realities of the situation and ultimately not only ended her marriage but her ill-conceived sexual relationship with Burt. Tad & Burt both ended up on their feet with wives & children while she ended up alone,realizing too late her part in it all. (This ending was much better than those presented by the original author.~ 5 ~

Hated the first 5 parts, this wasn't any better?

My problem with this entire series goes back to the very first story. We spend the entire first half of the story feeling sorry for the poor guy whose wife is deliberately embarrassing him, only to find that he had cheated on her first. Obviously, many (most?) of us feel that she went above and beyond "getting even," but again, our feelings are colored by the sympathy that we had built up for him.

"I was waiting at our home for him to reclaim me." - A husband shouldn't have to "reclaim" his wife. They each made a lifetime claim on the other when they got married.

It's only been ONE week, Tad is STILL furious, and she thinks it's a good idea to see Burt again?

"I had to let him know that my spending the weekend with Burt wasn't part of his punishment," - She actually expects him to buy that?

"then squashing him like a bug with the pictures, then leading Burt in triumph to our bedroom." - So, the public humiliation wasn't enough, she had to "squash him like a bug?"

"This weekend wasn't part of the punishment" - If the weekend isn't part of the punishment, then it's flat-out cheating! If he had some lame-ass excuse for HIS cheating, would she have let it go?

"That weekend, he mastered me." - More than Tad did in 12 years?

Reconciliation was not possible after whe went nuclear. It is a sad story about revenge, disproportionate response, and irrational behavior without reviewing the facts or circumstances. Though as a quick aside, I do wonder why the husband couldn't tell her the pertinent information earlier, even in an email. But her betrayal that first weekend was done so fast and so irrationally, that there was no way for Tad to stop it without violence. I would point out that Burt is a total asshole to be part of the revenge so early after first discovery. I wish he would have learned the truth about the one time slip so he could feel like a piece of shit that he was to his best friend Tad. Of course this is a continuation so less room to maneuver. Worst of all is that she gets her revenge (in her mind) and yet because she doesn't get a fast enough response of coming back home after the first nuclear weekend, she runs off to Burt again. Fuck both her and Burt. That took a blowtorch to the already radioactive rubble of their marriage. Was nonsensical and Burt is doubly an asshole for going along with it. Burt comes out far better with his own family than he deserves. Not sure why the author decided to add the second weekend. Her not realizing what she was continuing to do, now just made her delusional and a real self-centered bitch. If you could have somehow believed what she did the first weekend was acceptable (good luck with that argument), what she did going to Burt's place the second weekend was surreal. It made her look like an irrational lunatic who somehow after a long time realizes she fucked up and is miserable. Yes too little too late but a lot of the dramatic tension was defused and dissipated when she went off that second weekend and their communications missed one another. Then it was just a descent into destruction while the wife blithely thought she did no wrong. Maybe similar ending, but toss out the second weekend and get them to communicate and the husband still gets a divorce, and she is still turned down by Burt. I don't see reconciliation even for just the first weekend but maybe it could have been tried and toyed with. But after the second? Hell no!

It but it should have been reconciliation story. But I get how much she humiliated him, it must have been really hard for him to watch.

It was interesting to read an attempt to turn a cartoonish initial tale into something with a bit of heart, soul, and reality. I’m not so sure that the cartoon ever left the stage, but this was a valiant effort by a genuine writer.

Typical little boy rants in the comments. When he cheated, he had zero moral high ground to object to anything she did. According to those same little boys, if she had been the one who cheated, she and her lover should be maimed or murdered. How is it that when it's the man who cheats, somehow, he deserves the slightest respect? She should move on and be happy the bastard is gone. And she should tell every potential partner he will ever have about his cheating.

No, she will not have a stable relationship again. Her revenge was the product of a narcissistic rage she allowed to consume her and used to justify cruelty toward the man she claimed to love. In fact, the cruelty brought her pleasure and satisfaction. There are some levels of depravity from which the human mind and spirit cannot return. If we choose to become the thrall of Satan, we exclude ourselves from Jehovah's flock.

She was out of control and decided that it was in her best interest to humiliate her husband to get payback (disproportionate) without even communicating to him about the circumstances of the affair. Then she kept screwing Burt weekend after weekend. The husband's response was entirely appropriate. At some point it went from payback to humiliation to her just getting her rocks off. Burt was wise to pull back. She would have never forgiven Tad even if they had "honored" the original agreement and would have used whatever rationalizations to keep cheating once she had her night in the Club. It was over then and she killed it. Definitely a person's with mental issues.

Good story. As usual, well written. Sorry that you're not posting more frequently. I liked that he finally divorced her. I didn't like that they had such poor communication skills. I also laughed when she used the excuse "get even" for her infidelity. Getting even rarely works out for either party. Well played.

I am not sure any human would think it was over the top. Getting even is always a slippery slope be it business, love, or anything else in life. I know it was a continuation and the plot was set in motion. I just wonder if there is forgiveness or true remorse before ten years. The first weekend shows she did not really care she was angry and let it rule her emotions and tried to claim the high ground when in reality she was worse than he ever was.

Must be the end of days because Anderson wrote something that didn't make the husband out to be a pathetic wimp. Seen this hypothesis in a couple of other works. And the outcome would be the same. If the wife would have just went out and discreetly fucked someone else and left it at that, case closed. But when you try to one up in this, we'll play stupid games, win stupid prizes...

If I were her,I would have gone up to his new wife,introduced my self has is ex wife and told her to watch out for his cheating because that is why they were divorced.

The woman in this story reminds me of the fact that the most callous, vindictive, selfish and unforgiving people in my life have been women I knew growing up. They were all poor growing up in Cambridge MA in the 50's. My uncle used to call it Moscow on the Charles. A liberal cesspool. Most of them ended up alone in their 40's because they never appreciated their husband's hard work to provide them with a better life. They could never think about or care about anybody but themselves.

You realize that if she'd simply divorced Tad, Bob would've married her? But she set out to deliberately rip his heart from his chest, grind it into the dirt, then hand it back to him. So Bob didn't want her either. Tad fucked up. He deserved divorce, if she wanted it. He deserved the guilt. But she didn't divorce him, she set-out with the intention of causing him pain. He betrayed her while he was drunk, without intending to cause her pain, felt horrible about it, and never sought to do it again. She betrayed him while sober, deliberately seeking to hurt him, and made a production out of twisting the knife.

I only discovered you recently after reading several alternative endings to February Sucks. I like your stories much more than do many of your other readers because I sense real human depth to your characters -- so thank you.

With a loving wife and friend like that .. He doesn't need any enemies .. Sadly I had a friend like that he cheated with the girl I liked after I gave her a promissory ring . I never got the ring back either .He then joined the Marines and became a DI . He put in 20 plus years .

Alcohol clouds the mind, it makes you do things you wouldn’t normally do, especially with encouragement from others. Sandy made a sober and emotional harsh decision/choice, it obviously was the wrong one. When someone messes up, give them the opportunity to explain, ask your questions, get all the details and information you can. Revenge is never the answer to save a marriage. Tad should have to experience some consequences for his actions. Sandy over reacted and went way to far. Ruined the friendship of two best friends, ruined her marriage (that could have been saved) and ended up a very lonely and despicable person. Tad shares fault, on a scale of one to ten, his was a three and hers was a 10+. A great story, very well written and a lesson for all married couples.

When you go from pain to revenge there is seldom anything useful left in the wake of disaster. This was a better ending to the original story but still nothing to learn from for others. Well, perhaps that it is better to be like Sergeant Joe Friday and get just the facts ma'am.

I don/'t like cheaters period! Be it male or female. When she founded out he cheated, she have a plan to protect he\r assets then toss his ass to the curb . She cheated and shoved it in his face demoralizing him to the N degree. Two wrongs do not make it right. I would like both parties to suffer. I want her to suffer more than Al because she went overboard. Regarding his friend, I think he should not live life well. I wish those two got merry with a rocky base and divorce in 2 years.

On eof the better endings of the original story. Even though that this version is the only one where Ted cheated just once. In any case, humiliating the husband in a public way with having sex with his best friend in front of a bunch of strangers and maybe even not so strangers only works with a willing cuckold husband.

Sandy!s weekend with Burt was a stupid act. An appropriate end to a sad story. Good work.

You gave the old GeorgeAnderson treatment to a rather over the top setup. I think you nailed the wife's personality. Tad really slammed Burt with the note about what a crazy bitch might do to him too. Her return to The Club was logical.

And of course the writing was well done. As I said. The most logical outcome, although Burt's and Tad's marriages were a little storybook.

A loon. She keeps harping about Tad disrespecting her by his trysts. However she throws away any respect for herself by putting on a sex show for her hubby and patrons of a club frequented by them regularly. She never had any self respect.

Very good! The woman needs help. Even after admitting to herself that she acted terribly, she still rationalized that she did nothing wrong. She’s only sorry that her actions hurt him beyond her ability to understand. She didn’t acknowledge that the cruelty of her actions could, at some point, provoke a physical attack.

As another responder stated, she was delusional. One, male or female, doesn't treat their spouse like the MC (female) did and expect he/she to remain in LOVE! Her actions were vile, vindictive, and WAY over the top in getting even. The MC (male) didn't flaunt the affair, didn't rub the actions, stripping, letting men play with her body, or fucking their best friend (although I'd hope a BEST FRIEND wouldn't do that to me!). I gave this a *1 for the actions displayed in the story, not for the writing - it was well written! Just didn't like the portrayal of the female MC!

I went back and read all the original endings and found them all disgusting. Yours is very well written, as expected from GA, but paints Sandy as no less disgusting. She was delusional to think Tad would tolerate her public actions at the club, and then the night with his best friend. Her marriage was done even before the weekend with the false friend Bert. Good old Bert talks of being Tad's best friend, but happily stabs him in the back again and again. I'm glad you gave Tad his happy life, and let Bert finally realize Sandy's true nature before finding his undeserved bright future. Sandy, the angry, stripper and admitted whore is left alone, knowing that she was responsible for burning any chance she had for happiness. Your depiction of Sandy was so good that I actually disliked her even more than I did when reading the original.

For writing this kudos. Fuck you for inducing me to read as much of Part 1 as I could stomach. 😂

And the winner is - Door #6. I did not enjoy the original story or any of the follow-up chapters by BIBones. None of the characters in the original story were likable. I’m glad I went against my first instinct to pass on this. Nice job of giving this sad tale a proper send off.

This was the best ending to the story. How anyone could think that prostituting yourself on stage with her husband's friend was in any way proportionate or acceptable is delusional. Everyone now knows she is a disgusting person who no one in their right mind would want a relationship with. If your spouse gets drunk and wrecks the car, is it the intelligent response for the other spouse to get drunk and wreck the other car? An undiscussed purchase of a $1000 dress is answered by the purchase of a set of golf clubs? Of course those are silly analogies, because it is the behavior of silly immature people. And for me it is boring and obnoxious to read about the romantic conflicts between adolescents. All they really understand about life and themselves is how to fuck, so that is the only thing they do well.

The woman was delusional. She was right when she said she went off the rails. She kept saying she loved Tad but kept running bs into fuck. Burt when Tad didn’t buy her shit. Then the light came on in Burt’s brain. If she’ll do it to Tad, she’ll do it to me. Of course Tad should have dumped her skanky ass when she stripped in the Club..Of course this story theme is the same as many others in the LW genre but I still like to read them. Hard to create a new story in LW when so many themes and takes on the subject have been used over and over. Keep writing GA. Went back and read the original, horrible story. But this sequel was really good and you made the unbelievable characters of the original more real. I especially liked that you let Sandy continue on here deranged path for a couple of years before realizing what she had done. To often in LW there is a wife who willingly commits the most horrible of betrayals one day and the next profess her eternal love and submission to her husband, thats crazy. Like that weird story with the couple and the football player... ;)

Haven't read the original story, but since that formula's been used a few times already, it's not too hard to jump in the saddle. Not sure in what proportion the blame was spread initially between the two parties, but in this followup, Sandy definitely eats most of it for her scorched earth retaliation. Makes her fate more palatable. Was a pretty good standalone IMO.

Before we knew the context you could almost sympathize with Sandy , that her husband has cheated on her with 2 women and she was angry and wanted.ro make sure he wouldn't cheat. Yet it unravels, you see that age too easily was looking at Burr and she was so narcissistic in her revenge she never once thought to let him explain what happened and to apologize. She is a narcissist if the worst kind, and her ugliness unrolls in front of us. Her thing with Burt was not revenge, it was her excuse to cheat q a guy she found hot..not even.ginna mention the club. Crap.

Burt seems like a decent guy, but he isn't, he git his rocks off at the expense of Tad then wonders why he is pissed? Then have weekend with her,instead of reading her the riot act...hell they could have locked themselves in the bedroom and pretended to have sex to punish him, rotten as that was, but what he did showed what he was,a scumball who did want Sandy,then pretended to be sorry.

Performance credit: Anthony Newley (YT). Lovely story. Perfect song. Life has a soundtrack. I can imagine her humming this song to herself as she wonders whether the new hire widower in accounting with the two kids might ask her out. And letting that sad wisdom save her.

Another terrific start from a GA story. Unfortunately, it seemed to lose steam after the initial confrontation which also seems to be part in parcel of a GA story. When she found Tad after Burt's wedding I thought this might be interesting, but nothing happened.

Still gave the effort four stars. Great writing, super readability, but the storyline seem to leave too much on the table.

I had serious problems with the ALL the ways that the previous story ended. As is made perfectly clear in this version, no wife whom truly loved her husband could have done what she did.

I was unfamiliar with the original story, so i read part 1 before reading your part 6. I then read parts 2-5. The original part 1 was over the top but entertaining, but the originall four sequels were terrible . Your sequel was, as usual, well written, and. I felt, realistic and appropriate. I first agreed with some off the comments that felt Tad should have bear up Brad, but on reflection, felt his cutting ties was a smarter move.

I really liked your sequel. Easily 5 stars.

It's telling, isn't it, that you'd choose an insipid cuckold story to expand upon. No surprise there, it's your kind of story. You obviously love stories where the woman cheats on her husband, in the most egregiously cruel manner possible, and then rub his nose in it, over and over. How many mentally-well-balanced men would have ever even read the original? You can tell what kind of story it is without wading through it. And I'm betting you've read it more than once. Hell, for all we know, you're the original author.

This was an insightful, well-written and interesting story.

It is a sad comment, but the wife's over-the-top response based on assumptions may not be all that unusual.

People should act, particularly do crazy things, only with all the information, which the wife is now suffering because she failed to do in this case.
