Non-Consent?

This so far does not show any trace of involving reluctance or non-consent. Not a purist on categories that can overlap, anyway, but the problem is that we have one character thinking this is a transaction leading to forgiveness while the other reacted with hatred , hostility and domination not based on love. Is the heroine being too slow here in her brain activity? Is there going to be a turn? The girl should know better. Is she not looking for love? Didn't she unearth the worst qualities, all but love- in her future husband?

It’s in the right place

I disagree. I think she is reluctant but consenting therefore it fits. Let’s give it another chapter before we get all hung up on the flimsy plot line.

Good start

Good start, this is almost just a prologue. Love the continuation and where this all could lead!
