Rachel's blood dropped in temperature. Beginning to quiver in the knees, she gulped, noiselessly returning to the bedroom. When she got close enough, she detected a rustling beneath the comforter. Over she rolled with a yawn, for Rachel to see.

Rachel's heart accelerated. She whimpered, backing to the door, sidling down the hallway once again. The water continued running all the while. She reapproached the bathroom, noting one remarkable distinction.

Holding on to the walls for support, Rachel took a step inside. Then another, and another. Finally, she reached the shower. Taking a few breaths, she steeled and steadied herself, and drew back the curtain.
She could not believe her eyes.
