I could see that Dana had many more questions, but she decided not to voice them. She had only just learned about powers, but she found that they scared her, a lot.
After dinner I took Maggie out onto the deck to speak to her.
"I need to find a way to protect Ness and Jules from powers," I said. "I seem to keep running into powered people and, Ness and Jules, they are just so vulnerable."
Maggie sighed. "If you figure it out," she said, "let me know. I have agents I'd love to be able to protect."
The more I thought about it the more I realized I might have an answer, but I needed time and space to investigate. I'd have to wait until the following morning. Technically I could have done it after we went to bed, but I did need to sleep sometimes.
So, at four the next morning, I went out on the deck, instead of going to the Dojo. I seated myself in one of the lawn chairs and closed my eyes.
The room was comfortable, bland but comfortable, with white nondescript walls and very little in the way of ornamentation. I had spared no thought whatsoever for the surroundings. I just wanted somewhere to meet.
I looked at the person sitting opposite me.
"I wondered," they said, "when you would come to talk to me."
FYI... "READ MORE OF THIS SERIES" on this page is a bit messed up. It's showing the "Next Part" as "Caleb 54..." instead of "Caleb 53..." (which is missing).
I would be deeply disappointed if this was the end of the story. There is still the last year of college, you still have Quantico and the beginning of his career. So much material, so little time. Please don't stop.
Please continue! I think Caleb needs to be more careful when using his powers, or it will get out. Like in the previous story when he healed Dana's mother very rapidly. People will start to notice how often he is "accidentally" around when something magical happens...
A wonderful continuation of the story. I agree with Subvet (previous commenter) that _much_ more of the story is begging to be told. A logical progression would be to get Caleb through high school, then start book 2 with his entry into Quantico. BUT, you are the author, and may probably have better ideas. I will bow to your wisdom....
No way this is the last one….cliff hanger ending and a bunch of loose ends. I’m totally good with that. Really enjoying the series!
I have been reading stories and series on Literotica for several years. I have found I like sci-fi and
Mind Control the best. This has been the best series by far. Keep up the great work. Looking forward to where you take this story. Give it a solid ending.
Too much detail. Cooking washing dishes……why not have a discussion over laundry?
