It is not a happy story, nor is it sexy in any way, and it has an ugly, sorrowful end.

I'm not sure about the heavy magic overlay to the story, but it's clearly a story of love lost, regained, and lost again. The issue tormenting Carol's life over and done with, let's hope she is now free to enjoy a life with happiness and children with Derwin, even if he does not seem to inspire much passion. Still, he's a good man, I suppose. I liked the way the sexual parts of your story underlay everything, or so it seems. If I come across a café in some lonely mountain village, itself run by a local, potentially evil, capitalist, I'll give Carol a hug. 5*

I was enjoying the story, when you ended it so abruptly. Very sad and a bit unfinished at the end. I gave you 4 stars for that reason. Now if you wanted to continue the story, I would very pleased! Please keep writing, I love your stories!!
