While reading the early parts of this chapter I was already composing my comment. It was to be along the lines of I believed that Elle was becoming power crazy. Then on reaching the chapter's end I found that you had pre-empted me with Fabienne's words of wisdom and warning. While we're on the subject of warnings, here's another. This is a "High Fidelity" bit of wordsmithing. The characters are like individual instruments in an orchestra that can easily be singled out and identified thanks to the incredibly high resolution provided by Pixiehoff's detailed and unique voicing of each character. The shifting perspectives and the complicated subject matter provide a daunting challenge for any writer , but Pixiehoff is managing quite nicely. I do believe Elle will ultimately "get it" in regards to what is required to be a "good domme". I'm actually pleased that Elle didn't instantly pick up on the whole domme thing, because that would have been totally unrealistic. Elle's progress towards "domme-hood" through trial and error, under the watchful eye of Fabienne, comes across as believably messy; like most sexual fumblings of youth. Elle having a variety of women available to practice and hone her skills on bodes well for her future as an adaptable domme.
