All Comments on 'Emma's Debt'

Well, this story was just so-so, bordering on a huge yawn. There was no backstory. There was no character development. There was no judgements or court decisions. There was a fairly good start to a nice set of chapters as Emma experienced slavery. Was there some sort of contract or time period set? It seems that Emma has 8 yeas left? How many years has she been a debt slave? What are her duties? Is she lent out to others from time to time. Sorry, the story could have been developed better.
