Technically, I'm not sure this is a standalone story. It will work well as the beginning of a series, though reiterating Karl's CEO title doesn't make sense. I hope you revisit this after the contest and flesh it out. It has the makings of an interesting tale of Karl's transformation; give it room to breathe.
