This seems like an odd place to leave this story, on a cliffhanger no less! Are these characters just temporary fuck buddies or will this new sexual relationship become something meaningful and honest at some point?

Why was JR so angry, is he already fucking one of the buddies? It felt like these longtime friends really care for each other, but something seems off with Sam! Why is he so against talking about what this relationship is with Trent! Hopefully some loose ends will make more sense in the next series! My guess is JR is already involved sexually, or has been at some point with Sam! More character development may have helped things make more sense!

Well worth the wait! I disagree with Anonymous. Ending this installment here makes perfect sense to me. Trent and San have connected now, finally touching, physically connecting. The relationship established, with whatever hesitancy, is ready to grow, expand, show us their place in their world. I went back and read (binged!) from the beginning. Five Stars every chapter.
