Well, I enjoyed most of the story. I do hope that Ben mellows out his anger and eventually truly accepts Grace into his life. Right now she is still a prized slave. Maybe if she produces a boy that Ben decides Grace is really a woman and a wife. I am glad that Ben kept his word and helped out Grace's family a lot more than he set out.
I hope you’ll continue the story of Grace and Ben, They have more depth of character than most, on this site. Neither is perfect, but they’re willing to appreciate the good in each other, There are still plenty more challenges that lie ahead of them. Thank you for sharing your talents with us.
I just want to point out, you don't just remove your undergarments when wearing a mid-to late 19th century outfit, as a woman. Undergarments include a chemise/shift, a corset, stockings, and crotchless briefs. Plus a support for the skirt, usually crinoline, or crinolette, or bustle, depending on the year. I'm guessing the story is taking place a bit after the crinoline years but a bit before the bustle era. Anyhoo, removing the undergarments would ruin the outfit. You'd have no more support. You'd look sloppy and your skirts wouldn't stay in place. They'd droop. Plus your bosom and waist would hurt from the lack of support from a corset. And if a man wanted to touch your pussy, you absolutely did not have to remove your briefs. The briefs didn't cover the crotch. All he had to do was reach underneath the skirt! The support garments holding up the skirt were flexible. If you're going to do some historical stuff involving clothing, I suggest researching historical clothing. I get plenty of stuff wrong all the time but really? The moment I read the husband demanded the wife remove the undergarments from the dress I stopped reading. It's like trying to take off your socks while you still have shoes on. Makes no sense.
A rich tapestry of the rough adaptations people made settling these lands, taming the savagery within themselves & stumbling toward civility & decency.
