Katja Pt. 19

After about ten minutes or so, Erik walked in and smiled, "Need anything hon?"

Katja smiled, and shook her head no, "We're fine love. She's just about done and will go to sleep for a while."

Erik nodded and leaned down to kiss her. Then he stroked Aileen's head gently, which made her purr louder. She could feel the love her father had for her strongly, so she thought to him, "Love you daddy."

Erik grinned, "I love you too kitten."

Still smiling he went back out to the living room after first stopping to get a cup of coffee. He set the mug on the table and sat back down. Geoff, Brigitte and the cats curled up to him once again. Then Geoff asked, "Is Aileen okay daddy?"

Erik smiled down at his son, "Yes Geoff, she's fine and so is mommy. But she'll probably sleep a while afterwards, you two always did." Geoff and Brigitte smiled back and nodded their understanding.

After about fifteen minutes or so, Katja came out and walked over to the couch. She leaned down and kissed Erik, "I'll be right back love, I want to get something to drink first."

She walked into the kitchen and got a bottle of juice, then came back out. The kids made room for her, and once she sat down, Geoff curled up to her and Brigitte curled up to Erik. Erik grinned as Brigitte hugged him and laid her head in his lap to watch the movie. He gently stroked her hair and she purred as he did.

Brigitte did have a slight problem having to share her father with her sister, but she didn't know exactly why, he hadn't treated her any different. But she was daddy's girl and had been since she was born. But she had frowned a bit when daddy called her sister kitten like he did her. She could tell he still loved her just as much as he did this morning, and he didn't seem to love her sister any more or less. So, it confused her a little why she felt this way, it didn't seem to bother Geoff and it never bothered her when daddy called mommy kitten. Then she thought to herself, maybe I should ask him or mommy.

Erik smiled down at his daughter, he was worried about how she was going to take all this. After all, he had been hers alone since they were born. He loved all his children the same, no more, no less. But he could tell she was a little... well, upset was too strong a word really, maybe worried a bit. He had saw the look on her face when he called her sister kitten like he always did her.

He mentally shrugged, "I guess I'll have to see what happens and deal with it." She really hadn't seemed bad after that and it was the only time, she showed a little jealousy. He figured he'd talk to Katja about it later after the kids went to bed.

Once the movie was over, Geoff and Brigitte got ready for bed. After they got changed, they came back out to tell their parents goodnight. Erik got a hug from Geoff, then Brigitte came over and he smiled as he picked her up and hugged her. She smiled more as he stood, and he carried her into her room.

Katja and Geoff both wondered why he did it, normally, they got changed and said goodnight, then they just went into their rooms.

Brigitte smiled as her daddy held her, then once they got to her room and he put her in bed to tuck her in. He sat down next to her and brushed her hair back, "I love you kitten. You do know that, don't you?"

Brigitte nodded and smiled, "Yes daddy, I do."

Erik grinned and bent down to kiss her forehead. "Good, I wanted to make sure you did. Just because you have a sister now, it doesn't mean I love you any less, I will always love you the same sweetheart. But I do love your sister too and in the same amount, just like your brother. I've got plenty of love to go around."

He stroked her hair still smiling, "I just wanted to make sure you understood and weren't upset."

Brigitte blushed a little, "Well, maybe a little. But I'm alright now."

Erik nodded, "Good, like I said, I love all my children the same. You three are the best thing that ever happen to me, besides your mother that is."

Brigitte giggled, "I love you too daddy."

Erik smiled and tucked her in, then kissed her again. "I love you too kitten, you have a good sleep."

She nodded smiling, then hugged the dragon Bryan got her and closed her eyes. All was right again in her world.

Erik walked out, closing the door slightly, then walked to the living room. He joined Katja on the couch and she smiled as she curled up to him. "What was that all about love?"

He smiled at her, and stroked her arm, "Just making sure my older daughter knew I still loved her, even though I have two of them now. I saw the look on her face when I called Aileen kitten before. She's seems fine now though."

She smiled at her mate, "Have I told you lately what a good father you are? And that I love you more than anything."

He grinned as he leaned down to kiss her, "I think so, but you can tell me again in case you forgot. You've been a little busy today."

Katja laughed and hugged him. " I love you so much."

He grinned, "I love you too."

They felt a very familiar warmth, "He is all that and more, that why it was so easy to choose him and you dear. I think you handled that very well love, she'll get over it now quicker. She knows you feel the same for her that you did. And that you feel the same for our daughter and son."

Erik sighed happily, "I'm glad to hear it, I was worried slightly. I've seen it happen to the kids of friends of mine."

They were both hugged by Brigit, "I'll leave two alone now, you both could use some rest." Then she was gone.

They stayed up a little longer, then headed in to bed. They knew that Aileen would be up in another couple hours or so to nurse once more.

Katja had to get up in the middle of the night to nurse Aileen and Erik stayed up with her to keep her company. Once Aileen was full, Katja rocked her back to sleep, then got back into bed. Erik smiled as he spooned up to her and buried his face in her neck and hair. He breathed in deep and she still smelled wonderful.

Katja grinned as his arm snaked around her and pulled her close. She heard his sigh of pleasure and soon they were both asleep once more.

The next morning, they woke up and were soon joined in bed by Geoff and Brigitte as they snuggled up to them like normal.

Brigitte smiled as her father pulled her close to him and giggled as he tickled her. Geoff did the same as Katja hugged him and kissed him. Then they heard, "Mommy can I come to?"

Katja smiled and rolled out of bed to get her and soon all of them laid together in a big purring, giggling pile. They laid together for a bit, then Erik got up to get changed and then make the coffee and tea.

He finished getting dressed, then walked over to the bed and leaned over to kiss Katja. "Do you want me to make your tea now? Or wait till you've fed Aileen?"

She thought for a bit, "Wait I think, maybe twenty minutes or so."

Erik nodded, "Okay, we'll prep everything and then start it in a bit."

Geoff grinned as he stood on the bed and held his hands up to his father. Erik grinned and picked him up, then put him over his shoulder as Geoff giggled. "Why don't you get dressed Geoff and when your done you can help me. Okay?"

He said yes and they walked out the door.

Katja grinned then asked Brigitte, "You want give me a hand love?"

Brigitte nodded and Katja replied, "Good, why don't you get dressed, while I'm cleaning your sister up, then come back."

Brigitte nodded, and she climbed out of bed and went to her room.

Katja got Aileen cleaned up and dressed, then she sat down to nurse her and talked to her as she did.

Brigitte passed by as Geoff's door opened. She smiled, he was dressed like daddy and uncle Tony, blue jeans and a black T-shirt. This morning it was a plain one and not one of the ones uncle Tony got him.

Geoff grinned, "Are going to help mommy with Aileen?"

Brigitte nodded yes, "I just need to get dressed."

Geoff nodded, then asked, "It's still a little early, but I figured I'd feed Neffi, do you want me to do the same for Marcus?"

She smiled, "Yes, could you? Thanks Geoff."

He smiled, "It's no big deal. See you in a bit."

Geoff walked down the hall and Brigitte went into her room. She opened her closet to see what she wanted to wear, normally it was shorts or pants and a shirt. As she looked, she thought to herself, "Bryan should be over later." She looked over to her bed and saw the dragon he gave her. So, with a smile, she took down the dress aunt Ariel brought for her. She giggled, Bryan had said how much he liked it and how pretty she was in it.

Geoff walked into the kitchen and Erik smiled, "Little early Geoff."

Geoff smiled, "I know, but I thought I'd take care of the cats while I was waiting."

Erik grinned, "Good thinking, we're probably going to have a bunch of people stop over later."

Geoff nodded, "I know, that's what made me think of it. I told Brigitte I'd take care Marcus for her, since she's in helping mommy with Aileen."

Erik smiled and picked him up. "Have I told you how proud of you I am? That's a very nice thing to do for her."

Geoff smiled and shrugged, "She seemed a little upset last night for some reason. So, I figured I'd do something nice for her."

Erik gave him a hug, "She's better now, she was just a little jealous of Aileen and the attention she was getting. That's normal, especially for sisters. But as I said, she's fine now."

Geoff nodded, still not understanding it completely. But then, he could never really understand why Gesa acted the way she did sometimes, especially when she saw a girl with red hair or another girl talked to him. He sighed to himself, hopefully he'd understand when he was older.

He opened up the cabinet and took out the containers of cat food and treats. He set them on the table and walked out to get the food and water bowls. He dumped out the leftover food, then moved the step stool over and poured out the leftover water. He cleaned the bowls, then brought them out to where they had them set up. He walked back in and his father handed him the small jug of water they used to fill the water bowls. It was easier this way for him and Brigitte, they didn't spill the water carrying them.

He filled the water bowls then brought it back into the kitchen, then grabbed the food and treat containers. He filled the food bowls, then grinned as he shook the container with the treats. He giggled as the two cats came tearing down the hallway from his and Brigitte's rooms. They sat and purred as they waited for Geoff to put some on the floor for each of them.

Geoff did and they were at them before he could move. Neffi, ate a few then came over to curl around Geoff's feet and rub against his legs. "Thank you Geoff."

He bent over to stroke her, "Your welcome Neffi." Then Marcus did the same asking, "Where's Brigitte Geoff?"

Still bent over, he rubbed his ears making him purr, "She's in the bedroom helping mommy with Aileen. You could go in to see her if you want."

Marcus looked at him, then his food bowl and treats, then at the bedroom, "I think I'll finish first, then I'll go in."

Geoff nodded, "Or you can just wait, they should be out here soon."

They purred, then they went back to eating. Geoff grinned, then thinking to help his father, he picked up the two big bowls Cleo and Caesar used. Since the food bowl was just about empty, he set the water bowl in it and carefully carried them into the kitchen. "Daddy, could you help me."

Erik was pouring himself a mug of coffee as he heard him and turned, "Sure Geoff, thank you for helping. I was just getting ready to do that."

He took the bowls, then emptied and cleaned them. While he was doing that, Geoff went and brought the food container in. Erik smiled and filled the food bowl and handed it back to Geoff. He carried it back out while Erik carried the water bowl. They put them down and Geoff shook out some treats for Cleo and Caesar. Then Geoff called to them to let them know, and they came out yawning and stretching. They thanked Geoff and had some of the treats and food.

Cleo came over and stood with her front paws on Geoff's leg. Geoff smiled and picked her up and hugged her. "Good morning Cleo."

Cleo licked his cheek, "Good morning Geoff. Did the little ones eat?"

He smiled, "Yes, I think Neffi went back to my room and Marcus went to see Brigitte, she's with mommy. She's feeding Aileen."

She patted his face and yawned once more, "I think I'm going to go back in the house. With the new little one, I expect lots of people will be over later. Will Gesa be here?"

Geoff grinned, "She should be, I really hope so."

Cleo purred, "Good, I like her. She's fun."

Geoff nodded his concurrence with that statement, then put Cleo down on the floor. She stretched once more and padded back to her house.

Geoff grinned then walked back to the kitchen. "The cats are all taken care of daddy."

Erik grinned, "Good, mommy and the girls should be out soon, so why don't we make her tea."

Geoff nodded and got up on the stepstool and pushed the button on the tea kettle while Erik got the tea out of the cabinet and pulled the teapot closer so Geoff could reach it.

Geoff measured out the tea and put it in the teapot, then they waited until the water boiled in the tea kettle. They talked about a couple of things while they waited and once the water boiled, Erik poured it into the teapot. Once it had steeped, he poured Katja's tea and Geoff added the sugar and stirred it. Erik handed him Brigitte's and his juice glasses, then he got down and put them on the table while Erik put Katja's tea in her spot.

Erik got the juice and filled their glasses, then smiled as Katja and Brigitte walked in with Katja carrying Aileen. She kissed Erik, then Geoff, then she put a purring Aileen in her carrier that sat on one of the chairs so she could see what was going on too.

After they had something to drink, Erik and Katja made breakfast. Aileen watched from where she was as they went about it, then she asked Geoff what they were doing.

Geoff grinned and explained it to her, "You'll be able to eat this type of food soon, but you have to wait till your teeth come in." He gave her a toothy grin so she could see them. "It's not much fun when they come it, but mommy has some medicine that makes it easier."

He grinned once more, "Mommy's milk is good, but real food is better."

Aileen smiled at him and purred, "Thank you for explaining it to me Geoff."

He squeezed her hand, "Any time sis. Ask anything you want; Brigitte and I can tell you."

Katja smiled as she brought their plates over as she saw Geoff talking to Aileen. As they started to eat, Aileen said to him, "I see what you mean Geoff, that does smell good."

Erik and Katja joined their children and another ordinary day started for the Woodes family as they talked about who would be coming over.

The rest of the morning was about the same as normal, the kids and cats played together for a bit while Erik and Katja took care of somethings around the house that they didn't have time for yesterday. Once done, they had some more coffee and tea and watched TV for a bit. Then Katja fed Aileen again, while Erik kept her company. He looked at his daughter, then commented, "She looks a lot bigger today."

Katja nodded, "I saw that myself while I was dressing her. Well, we were told she would grow fast. That's why she's been feeding more than Geoff and Brigitte did."

Erik smiled as Katja put her over her shoulder to burp her. "I'm glad your milk helps her with that, at least she doesn't have growing pains like a human does. I'd hate to see what it would be like for her the way she's growing."

Katja nodded as Aileen gave out a lady like burp. She took her off her shoulder and wiped her mouth. "Feel better now kitten?"

Aileen purred smiling, "Yes mommy, I did feel a little full."

Erik stood and came over and bent down to kiss her, then Katja. "Need anything love?"

Katja shook her head no, "I'll just clean her up a bit, then I think she's ready for a nap."

Erik grinned as Aileen yawned saying, "I am a little tired mommy."

Katja smiled and handed her to Erik and he cuddled her to him making her smile. "Love you daddy."

Erik kissed her head, "I love you too kitten."

Katja got up and zipped her shirt, then took her from him. "I be done in a bit, then I'll be out love."

Erik kissed her, then walked out to the living room, he smiled as he saw his other kid's. Geoff was reading with Neffi keeping him company, and Brigitte was watching a kids show with Marcus in her lap and the stuffed dragon Bryan had given her being hugged.

Katja came back out and smiled much like Erik had, then she joined him and curled up next to him.

About an hour or so later, the doorbell rang and Erik pushed the button on the monitor that sat on the end table. He saw it was Tony and family, so he said, "The doors open, come on in."

Tony grinned at Ariel, "He always like gadgets like that."

Ariel grinned back, "Kind of useful though."

They walked in followed by Bryan and Kendra. They all greeted one another then Tony and Ariel joined them on the couch.

Ariel smiled, "So? How's our new niece?"

Katja grinned, "Sleeping right now. But when she's not, she's eating, and asking questions, and growing, then eating again, and asking more questions."

Tony grinned as he held up a bag, "I'm glad we got her a bigger size shirt then, she'll be able to wear it longer."

Then Ariel asked, "How's the other kids taking it?"

Katja smiled at her, "About like you'd think, Geoff is taking it in stride, but Brigitte was a little jealous at first till my wonderful mate here took care of it."

Ariel nodding grinning, "Well, that pretty common with our female children, they can be quite possessive of their fathers. I think that's why we get how we do when someone pays a little too much attention to our mates."

Katja looked at her, "You know, I think your right. I never thought of it that way."

Ariel nodded grinning, "I remember those two sisters that used to live near us on home world, they were always at each other's throats growing up."

Then Geoff and Brigitte came running out of their rooms, both of them laughing as the said "Hi Uncle Tony, Aunt Ariel."

Then Brigitte grinned and hugged Bryan, she was still holding the dragon he gave her.

He grinned blushing, "Hi Brigitte, hi Geoff." He smiled at her, she had the dragon he gave her and she was wearing the dress he told her he liked.

Geoff said hi to him and gave Kendra a hug and they both grinned as they watch Bryan and Brigitte.

The adults grinned also, then Ariel said laughing, "Well, as long as my son's around, I guess I don't get hugs anymore."

Brigitte grinned and handed the dragon to Bryan, then came over and hugged Ariel. "You still get them, but it might take me longer to get to it."

Ariel laughed and swung her around as she hugged her, "That's my girl."

Erik and Katja grinned and shook their heads, then Erik said, "I think you've corrupted my daughter Ariel."

Ariel grinned as she held her with their faces together, "Who, little old me?" Both of them had the same grin.

They laughed at that, then Geoff came over and hugged uncle Tony. He grinned and picked him up to give him a hug back. "How you doing kiddo?"

Geoff grinned, "I'm good uncle Tony."

Tony hugged him once more and set him down. Then Geoff said hi to Bryan and Kendra. Brigitte went over and took her dragon back from Bryan with a smile, then they all decided to go outside and play.

Then Katja heard, "Who's here mommy?"

She smiled, "Your other niece is up. Let me go get her so you can visit before she wants to eat, again." As she walked down the hall, she said to her, "It's aunt Ariel and uncle Tony kitten." Then she smiled as Aileen said, "Yay, Uncle Tony's here. I want to see him."
