"Leslie", "Leslie", "Leslie", "Leslie"!!!

WHY do you have to use 'her' name every time you refer to 'her'?

It gets very tedious!!

From the first two sentences of the first paragraph - "All week I had been thinking about lunch on Thursday with Leslie. Leslie and I have been working together for years. "

Why not "All week I had been thinking about lunch on Thursday with Leslie. We've been working together for years." - to the first two sentences of the last but one paragraph - "I got off of Leslie and sat on the edge of the bed. I had Leslie stand with her back to me."

Why not "I got off of her and sat on the edge of the bed. I had her stand with her back to me."?

Use some imagination to avoid the frequent repetition!
