"I've got somebody here who'd like to talk to him."
"Is it Lesley?"
"No."
"Oh my god, is it Carole?"
"Yes it is."
"Put her on, put her on. I so want to talk to her."
"Ok. I have to go to a meeting now but I'll leave you with her."
"Thank you Steven. Promise me we'll meet up soon."
"I promise."
Carole picked up the receiver and spoke into it in French. A smile appeared on her face as she began a conversation with Julie.
"I think this is going to be a long conversation," I told Lynne. "There's a new coffee shop just opened off Regent's Street. Shall we go and try it?"
"Is that the one that's just up the road from the shop that sells those expensive beds?"
"I think so. Why?"
"It's just that I don't want you getting any ideas when we walk past it," Lynne chortled.
