I (almost) loved it until the bullshit ending. The author gave up on the ending completely

Im sorry you felt I gave up on the ending, that was not the case. The story was only supposed to capture a specific moment in time that if a different choice had been made, how the moment would have gone differently.

But I will endeavour to try harder in the future.

I understand the what if moments, had a few myself. Some I look back and wish I had the redo button, others worked out just fine. There is sufficient background for the story but I personally didn't care for that last line. I did like how she seduced him. Cheers, Andy
