Joe drove Lucy back to his place. He swapped his high heels for flat slip-ons and they walked to the school hall where the party was being held. Joe was complemented with a few shouts from misogynistic men along the way. Just outside of the hall, he put on his pumps, put the slip-ons into a bag and hid them in the bushes. They checked each other, braced themselves and walked in through the hall doors.
