Just delete the first sentence of this story - you're completely pulling readers out immediately. I lost all desire to continue as soon as I saw it.

It may seem weird, because it's obviously implied in most of the stories here. But coming out and saying it straight away is like a wet slap to the face before we even get started. Bad idea imo.
