I HATE when stories cross categories. I primarily read in Loving Wives. I may occasionally stray into other categories, especially if it's a story by a favorite author. What I won't do, if I click on an LW story, see that it's not the first chapter, look at the author's library and see that the earlier chapter(s) aren't in LW is got back and red them.
