A very unusual story, at times hard to follow, but I found it very engaging. Not a lot sex, but the life Ruth led was very interesting, although much of it was skimmed over. It was kind of like a memory, with large blank spots and then specific spots highlighted.

Wow. That chapter spun right off the rails.
