It's interesting how the trauma of Michelle's affair affected Ted. When their marriage began, Ted was a caring, considerate gentleman willing to defer to his wife's needs. Then she betrayed him, battering his manhood. He responded by becoming far more demanding and assertive. Trauma does things like this in the real world. It's nice seeing a piece of fiction that shows characters who evolve in believable ways.
