There should be more. The three should live together and raise their brood as one happy family.
@Anon: In a sequel, do the 2 women, feeling like sisters, become lovers in 3-ways? Are other distressed vets & old friends invited for sex & inclusion? Do all live together, or keep separate but close houses in a neighborhood network? Is Lindy, the stay-at-home teleworker, the default stay-at-home mom for the brood while the other adults work their on-site jobs? Does everyone fuck happily ever after or does tragedy intervene? How far in the future can the story go?
Unless a story is really crap I always vote, comments vary. Very interesting style and kept me immersed throughout. You could leave it there but the very nature of the ending leads one to believe a sequel or two would be worthwhile as so many questions are left unanswered, let alone why two fiends should and do share a man. 5 stars.
@Ravey: Unanswered questions remain murky in my mind, too. As with more than a few of my stories, the people, places, and some events are real, and hopefully well-disguised. My experience and imagination haven't inspired a follow-up plot. So, we'll see.
Well, I guess I've got a new favorite author here. Heinlein poly sensibilities with a modern mindset, or what a modern mindset SHOULD be if we weren't all so fucked up by society. Five stars, of course. Looking forward to more of your material!
