this started out with an MC that did not want to go silly and instead think about changes and only make them small etc to a psycho who just changes anything and treats people as nothing.

consider he decided not to do the punishment of mellanie because it was too severe and not him and then look what he does to lana, a random person, and tell me that this is meant to be the same character. no it is not.
