Really enjoyed reading both parts your story looking forward to the next one . Thanks for writing it.
Not a big fan of the dialogue. By your own admission, you're trying to make this a romance, and it does get a bit cheesy. Having said that, your situations, your writing, the story flow, they're all great. I'd rate it a four objectively, but ratings inflation being what it is, and so many far worse stories getting four or even five stars, there is no way I could only rate it a four. So 5/5 stars it is.

Oh, FYI, you mention Darth Aussie as a mate, so I don't know if you're Aussie, Kiwi, or somewhere else in that region, and certainly don't know those laws. But in the states, contrary to opinion, in the majority of states, marrying a cousin is legal. I know there's a stigma attached, but legally in most states, and actually genetically, there is no reason someone can't do so.
