Click here"Well, you were, except only the one year." Sarah said grinning. "But by us." Wanda stuck her tongue out and flipped her middle finger up. "There ya go! Offering a little action. I accept. Your room or mine, Sweetcheeks?" Sarah continued, to general laughter. Wanda laughed along.
To Derek later, Wanda said. "I know I am being a vindictive bitch. But part of me really wants to take the court order to emasculate him and push it all the way for what he did to me. Not just to prevent more violence." Derek nodded and said he understood, but for her to be fair. She agreed and then said she will discuss things before she made a decision. Derek nodded. He suspected she might be talking with others more than him. But that was her decision. He had made several decisions on his own without consulting others.
Sarah and Lou had both expressed their opinion he treated Karen and Richard too nicely compared to how they had treated him. Derek knew better. Both of them were seething knowing how he had manipulated them. Their egos had been trampled. And that hurt them more than the physical punishments. They were feeling the full impact of his actions. They had a lifestyle and a future planned. Derek took it away. They had screwed with him years ago, enjoying it. Somehow Fate let the bastard bend them over a barrel and they hated it. To all appearances he was giving them the possibility for a retirement when they finally got set free. But it was certainly not what they would have wanted. "Yep Derek got his revenge for the way I treated him." Karen had been overheard saying once. "And the bastard never just bent me over to screw me up the ass or make me suck him off. Something physical. Something I could cuss at him for. No he lets me flounder out here like a useless old bitch while he fucks those younger women he has gathered. And all the while he gets three quarters of my income!"
Derek knew full well how Karen would hate him for having taken her future. He had been married to the bitch for years. She left him and found a soulmate in Richard. Someone who was as narcissistic as herself. Who felt they fully deserved what they could get from lesser beings. And nobody was less than her ex-husband Derek.
Derek laughed as he thought about it again. Sarah and Lou still thought he was once again being the nice, fair guy. No, he would watch Karen and Richard struggle to get by on a modest income, knowing full well they both thought they deserved much more but was deprived it...a little by their own overspending but MOSTLY by Derek. They would focus on Derek as the reason they failed each time. Derek knew this full well and it pleased him. He grinned once again as he thought how Sarah and Lou really did not understand how by setting Karen and Richard into a life where they would have just enough to get by but no more would hurt them more than taking it all. They'd never have felt challenged to fight for the scraps they would keep. They might realize how much pleasure he got from this years later, but probably not.

Anonymousalmost 3 years agoI've seen multiple authors mention slave psychologist Nikki Sheldon, not just Carl Bradford himself. To be honest, most stories set in the "Slave Grading" universe are kind of disappointing and I just can't get into them because there are so many loopholes in the system. I prefer the Slave Camp universe greatly since it goes into great detail to flesh out the system and how it would realistically work. There's still a few parts which seem a bit questionable (the difficulty of freeing Wanda or even just lessening her sentence seemed quite contrived for the sake of drama) but by and large, you've done a great job of making the story believable. It would be pretty cool to read more stories with the same setting.
Gamblnluckalmost 3 years agoAuthorI love it that some of the readers are keying in on some of the interactions I am trying to establish. Sarah and Lou treat the girls one way in public and another at home. I have the next few chapters written. I am just going back and forth fleshing it out a bit to make it 'flow' logically. Or at least to my own warped logic. Yes, I already have the ending set.
Time to wrap up the series as such but I will allow some lattitude. My characters may appear later in other stories. Perhaps in the way Carl Bradford reprises Nikki Sheldon. I have not got that far yet.

You're absolutely right. Some of the interpersonal relationships here are very interesting, and the internal conflict between wanting to treat someone well as a friend and allowing them to be abused as a slave is one of those. Personally, I'm more interested in the dynamic between Wanda and the free women who used to abuse her. As for whether or not Sarah and Lou will stop going to those parties altogether to spare the girls, they already touched on the topic earlier when they considered options to protect Wanda from Leanne. In the beginning, they definitely had no issue letting Wanda, Caroline and Rhonda get used, but now that they've gotten to know the girls a little better, they're definitely a bit more sympathetic to their misfortune. I think, ultimately, a sort of sympathetic prison-warden mindset might prevail, i.e., you're sympathetic, and you'll avoid unnecessary cruelty, but you're under no illusions that the people you're managing are here to be punished for a crime they committed. And all of them are guilty. Even Caroline who was unaware of her actions and only peripherally involved. Not even Wanda, who was completely innocent, was treated any differently before she was freed. Some people might suggest a system where the more heinous offenders get sent to the parties while the less heinous ones don't have to, but that would completely ruin the equality dynamic they established.
So yeah, lots of interesting content to look forward to, assuming the site doesn't start blockading this series, and once again, I really want to see what happens between Wanda and the free women who used to abuse her
Anonymousalmost 3 years agoProbably one of your best chapters yet. I love how you get into the gritty realism of how slavery would actually work and how, through Derek, you're basically throwing shade at all of the crudely written slave stories out there. Brilliant stuff.
