Carl gave Christine a piece of paper and a pen which she took to a table. She brought it back a few minutes later. She looked at me with a smug expression as she walked away. Cindy brought her tray to my station. "If she checks out, you're going to need blood tests," she said. "She wants to be your regular customer."
"Oh goody," I responded with all the sarcasm I could muster.
