Thank you for all comments, good or bad. The story is not done.
As an FYI, the Turret house is a real place 3 blocks from the infamous Mork and Mindy house in Boulder, CO. Whether it is haunted or not is anyone's guess.
I remember the Stanley Hotel and the Stanley Steamer proudly displayed in the lobby. I was in the travel business in the 70's and stayed there and was greatly impressed. The next year I booked 3 bus loads of dairy farmers into the hotel after a convention in Colorado Springs, and they had converted it in to a time share. The time share hawks, thought they had died and gone to heaven. I got on each bus as it arrived and warned my clients, and not one time share was purchased. The management was so mad, that I was not allowed to use the comp room and ended up sleeping in my rental car.
I never knew they did that! I actually did get married there in 87. Spent the night in the honeymoon suite. Nothing spooky happened, but nowadays my wife reverse crab walks like the girl in The Ring when she drinks too much.
