"Yeah," said Thomas as they went into Aldous's dresser and threw him some clothes to put on. "Put some clothes on so we can go. I told them I wasn't coming back without you."

Thomas and Franchesca both listened in, unaware of the subtext to Lilli's comments. Luna curled her lips to refrain from snarling as she just forced a smile and nodded. "Let's just think about what we're going to be doing for the party," she said. "Because I can think of a way you can pay me back for all my noble work."

The tense music played from the dorm room that night.
