She may have forgotten, but her husband is the one who got the ball rolling, she just decided to pursue it without him. Like the cheater she has become. She could have worked on it WITH her husband, who was clearly willing. But she went the low road.

My Lord! I thought I was the only person on Earth who had read Leaving Cheyenne! Although I now see it was reissued in paperback in 2002. I read it back in the Seventies, when I was in college. One of his best, I think, although I haven't read a lot of his later stuff.

I do wonder if the husband was to tell the wife that she does not make an acceptable travel partner. When they travel she is boring, lazy, narrow-minded, and non-adventurous. So to make it better for him, he is taking an attractive energetic 30ish woman on a 2-month European trip. What will she think?

She didn't even have the courtesy to say to her husband what she felt, or wanted from him. She didn't make her feelings, hopes, desires or wishes known. She has shown her colors, those of a worthless wife. -- I do not like her character, 1☆
