Somehow, it reads differently now than it did in the thread. I'd love to see you expand this.

In my opinion, I have to disagree with wanting to expand this story. I thiink that this story is not about the mundane, factual SF event but rather intended as an emotional catharsis on Joseph Cambellian spiritual level.
