I'm annoyed with myself. I did the scale calculation rather hastily on a calculator, and tripped up. For a ringworld to match Earth rotation and gravity, its radius would 1.85 million kilometers, or 'just over a million miles'. The circumference would then be 7.28 million miles. This doesn't affect the story, but it is an annoying error.
