This is starting to lose me. The humor and absurdity of the early chapters is becoming much darker and frankly more mean-spirited. For Martin to fuck around multiple times with Jacob when he’s a co-worker, neighbor and even a friend of Matthew’s changes the tone of things, at least in my mind. That probably sounds ridiculous since this story has been fucked up from the very beginning but the vibe seems different and less appealing now. Jacob and Matthew are both on a very destructive path and it’s really too much.
