A cute and (to me) original fantasy with a nicely controlled tone. The ending--heavily dependent on familiarity with pop culture, perhaps with one particular pop song--seemed a bit discordant. The ending may work better for some readers than it does for me. Overall, though, I liked the story a good deal.
