What a beautiful chapter! The midwives aren't the only ones with tears in their eyes. Who would have thought that a Pixiehoff chapter could contain so little kink and yet be so enjoyable?

So sweet my love. Made me remember both the pain and joy. You captured it so well. Double in the face of what we know will come. Thank you darling for the beauty of it, even if it is bittersweet.

The Best of The Best 5 Stars

The writing of this author is The Best of The Best. The mix of the story lines and the details and the emotions that her stories provide the reader are so well developed. This is how erotic writing is done to perfection. Regardless of one’s gender or sexual direction these stories show how we can have both romance and sexual adventures and all the enjoyment life has to offer us. Thanks for you outstanding writing and caring for the characters of your stories. Cheers

Just a Beautiful ending , considering the the year and tones..."Thanks to you, we all have Hope!"

"Oh we do, we do Mama!"

I am still laughing about Beccy's profanity, NO more sex with Jack and becoming a full time lesbian after birth of child. Well done Pixie, very funny story.

To go along with a very interesting scene with" Flossie "

Lady Pixie's Lover (good relations)

"I didn't know that you and our Estate Manager were related," said Lady Pixie. "Well, happen t'old fellers old school," Olivia Mellors replied, "a right stickler for what he calls 't' priorities'. Says we must all know and keep to our place." "And where's your place, dearest Mellors?" "In potting shed wi' thee, bonnie lass. Get a move on!"

What a delightful chapter, Pixie and working so well with the absolute minimum of eroticism. Calling it for the Poles was a very good point. Many of the male Polish refugees went into the RAF to become fighter pilots and were (largely) unsung heroes. An uncle of mine served with Polish officers and he said that a problem with them was that they learned most of their English in the Officers' Mess which could lead to social faux pas. He recalls one Polish pilot holding out a chair and inviting a rather strait-laced lady to "...park your bloody arse down here, madam..." As to the whole of Chapter 7, enjoyment in every word.

All's well that ends well.

It gives rise to the recurring issue of the promiscuous females in our stories. We have all been sold a 'pup' as I am not convinced it is the men of this world who are the most promiscuous of the species as we have all been told they are.

The birth of a child even to this day brings warmth to a story.

Another good read. 5 stars Pixie. in fact, we could start calling you that. A 5-star Pixie. xxx

Thank you Pixie darling for sharing this brief glimpse of domestic bliss with us, though I fear it is merely the lull before the storm. Perfect pacing and great characterization as always. Five stars from me.

Thank you, Darling Pixie, for creating a microcosm of Pixie's and Beccie's world where everything is perfect, jealousy does not exist and virtual contradictions simply dissolve into nothing.

Yet this perfect world is not a bubble. It is connected to the larger world and made perfect by conscious and deliberate decisions of its inhabitants, just like the larger world is made imperfect by deliberately wrong decisions.

Pixie's world provides food, shelter and a purpose for war refugees. It is the cradle of Hope in more than one ways.

There is not only analogy between the past and the present, such as war refugees and a (soon to be former) prime minister with a baby face, there is also causality.

Polish workers have been in the UK then and now. Sadly, xenophobia directed toward these people contributed to the anti-European sentiment that led to brexit. It appears that British people are more apt to showing greatness and magnanimity in war than in peace. Almost the polar opposite to German people.

Bobbi, thank you so much. There's an obvious reason that a society where men inherit property wants to ensure that women do not sleep with other men - but there's no reason for us to believe that we are in some way naturally monogamous. xxxxx

This chapter was like Mother's Milk to me. It nourished and satisfied my heart, mind, and soul (as well as my kink tooth and my funny bone). Pixiehoff's inspiring depictions of sisterhood, and capable, durable women, are particularly suited to the challenging events in this period of human history. We have already had the opportunity to witness some impressive acts of compassion and cooperation from the ladies, and I anticipate more and greater as the darkness gathers nearer. 🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿

Pixie - your story telling mix of history and love has no bounds. What a darling creature Beccy is and yet such a strong, intelligent and loving Lady P is the same. Jack most likely does not ask questions about their dalliance because he knows his bethroed love Beccy is a much better Lady and a better lover 'cos' of LadyPixie. He does seem like a smart Lad, after all. Thank you for the enjoyable read !

Such a sweet chapter with some lovely touches regarding the cooking and the way the estate is settling down. I loved the line "Well, I am going to be a full-fledged lesbian!" Beccy declared. "Unless, that is, Jack is home!"
