Ok what? Our FMC is apparently a product of a eugenics program to create superior pony girls but they also go to school, become educated and get to choose their own career path? That strikes me as rather odd. Why would a society that has hereditary slavery even bother to teach their chattel how to speak? Let alone educate them. I like the idea of a caste based society that breeds pony girls for sport but then flipping it and giving said pony girls any amount of agency beyond futile acts of rebellion has me scratching my head. Ahh well, spelling and grammar was decent aside from liberal misuse of hyphens and putting punctuation marks inside quotation marks. 4/5 stars because I have a soft spot for pony girls. Hopefully the author fleshes out this world a bit more in the next, hopefully longer, installment.
