It's absolutely true that "nice guys" do finish last. As an ex nice guy who ended up being permanently put in the friend zone, I can only advise any man to stop being "nice" Women will say to their girl friends "oh Mike is such a lovely man", then follow it with "of course I'd never fuck him in a million years" They will like you but never want a relationship or respect you.

Learn from it or you will just be taken advantage of and end up lonely and depressed.

Thank you for these great chapters. I almost forgot the story but it's nice to read from Julia again. For some reason I really like the development of the characters and I'm really rooting for them to become an item without too much drama. I hope he will slowly gain some confidence to at least comfort Julia a bit in a nice and careful way (e.g. after he heard from her personal drama).
