It becomes a real mess when confusion reigns about which Karen you are talking about. Perhaps a few more "My Karen" might have helped because often the reader doesn't know who the hell you are talking about. Cheers.

Sorry, but it's a serious mistake to have two women with the same name. It becomes too easy to lose track of which Karen is which and doing what. It's your first story, but I wouldn't do it again.

Why name both women Karen? Even using Karen-1 and Karen-2 would have been an improvement. It's needlessly confusing, and and easy rating of 1.
