"Well there are worse positions to be in." I chuckled to myself.
"What are you talking about?" Nadiya questioned from the doorway to the bedroom.
"Oh nothing." I answered. "Just having a moment of self-reflection."
"Oh ok." She smiled as she made her way onto the bed and curled up in my arms next to me.
We laid there in silence for a while, me gently stroking her hair. It did not take long for me to start feeling sleepy. I looked at Nadiya to make sure she was ok, and she was already asleep.
Smiling I rested my head back on the pillow and thought to myself what else was going to happen in this crazy new world I seemed to now be living it.
And with that I was asleep.
