This story is filled with a sense of dread. Marc has said he’s not a good man, he is beat up and won’t explain how it why, Colt feels like this might be a mistake, Marc brings a lot of alcohol even when he knows Colt isn’t a big drinker, Marc tells Colt to ignore his scared instincts, Marc teases Colt about his vanilla ways (little drinking, church, etc), Marc invites himself back for Sat night.
