All these 750 word stories are such a tease! Not that it's a bad thing. Car adventures are some of my favorites, can't wait for chapter 2!

I love these characters, I truly do.

But they seem to have the worst luck ever on road trips.

Then again, with how these things usually play out, maybe it's good luck...?

Glad you were able to enjoy the fruits of being the last car to -- so to speak -- get through. I was once driving the last car to get through white-out conditions on I-65 in northern Indiana, but alas, I was driving alone. I was lucky to make my rendezvous with my partner in Indy, if just barely. The powerful wind gusts blew open the car door, so it went to the shop and we were stranded without wheels in downtown Indy. Tromping through the snow was fun, and we got to tour the home of Benjamin Harrison, something we otherwise never would have done. Fucking in the back seat of the car seems like more fun, however. It was nice in the hotel, too.

@JBEdwards - this is based on an actual experience of almost running out of gas in the High Sierra. We ended up turning the engine off and coasting down part of the way. It wasn’t romantic though, two guys and two girls all climbers heading to Bishop. No shenanigans 😊. Emily
