In this story, for example, Jonathan, as we are told is ready for college, but must pay his own way. This was his parent's wish. Is he still living at home? What are his parents reaction to his sudden shift in hours / job? Was he let go (fired) from his restaurant job. Perhaps he quit or just simply vanished leaving everyone he knew wondering, worrying & searching for him.
