Ending it with the fact that they had come to the conclusion that she was going to do regardless, so it was best to just go with it rather than alienate their daughter. My mom smiled and related that was how she and my dad felt when Kathy and I told them that we were going to move in together.
We did a casual drive back to our place. It was still light out, so the girls kept their tops on, until we hit the driveway. Then shorts and panties off. A short relaxing swim, some time on the raft, and then the three of us in our bed. We playfully flipped a coin on who was going to be in the middle of the sea of bare soft flesh. Valerie won.
Kathy and I draped our bodies over our friend. Our hands resting comfortably on Valerie's stomach, just above her cute navel. Valerie's hands covering ours, as three friends bonded.
Valerie's classes were starting in two weeks. She thought she would drive home to spend the weekend with her parents. We asked if she wanted us to go with her. She said 'no' that she just wanted to spend the time with her parents, and that would give us some 'alone and quality' time together. We each grinned and lightly kissed her cheeks. We each saw the reactive smile.
Kathy's birthday would be a few weeks later. Kathy had already told me not to get her anything as she had everything she could ever imagine, dream, or hope for. I, on the other hand, had other plans. It would be a birthday that she would remember for the rest of her life.

Falstaff6011 months agoAgree with CZOFTW in that there is no reason for them not to be engaged now that they are settled with jobs and a home. The best way for that to happen would be with both sets of parents there and of coarse Valerie as she started the whole thing in motion. Hope that's where this is heading. Many of these stories just leave off at the assumption that that is what will happen without actually telling that part of the tale.
CZOFTWover 2 years agoWeirdly enough, I have more of a problem with Bill and Kathy not being engaged yet than Bill and Valerie still remaining unconsumated. Why wouldn't they be engaged? They're in love, out of school, employed and this is happening 50 years ago. I'd like to get some insight into what their thinking is.
