I love your use of detail -- "suddenly feeling a sweat begin to form across my hairline." Not "brow," not "forehead," but "hairline." Nice. But in one place it trips you up: "I reached behind me and unzipped my form fitting black dress." Yeah, sure you did. I don't think it's possible to make a form-fitting black dress that unzips and falls off just like that. More often they need help, or at least a lot of patience.

I wouldn't nitpick like this if this weren't such good writing. I'd suggest changing her dress to something that comes off more easily, or getting someone (probably Andie) to help her out of it.
