This series is disturbing

This story seems pointless, unless you're into constant brainwashing and beatings. That's all this seems to be now. You've created a world where this boy is treated worse than a dog and has no possibility of freedom. Where is the hope in that. This is SICK, but I don't mean that in a good way.
