A tear fell between them until Henry looked her in the eye palming her face. Eyes exploring one another he licked her salty tear then kissed her forehead.
"Go to bed. No more of this training until after the weekend. Got me?"
"Yes."
Easing away she trembled and wiped her eyes. Pausing at the stairs she looked back at her father standing there pouring another drink from the bottle he had brought down. His attention off of her she blew him a kiss and whispered, "I love you daddy." Off she went as quietly as possible. Henry would sit back loathing over what he had done. The birthday moment hitting home. Perhaps it had Sable as well.
Reaching her bedroom, she entered and walked up to her bed. Dakota was curled up in a ball on her blankets. Sighing Sable crawled in next to her and hugged her sister from behind. No reason to wake her.
"Happy birthday Sissy."
"Happy birthday Sissy."
A mumble before a snore.
It was the TOnE of her voice that counted.

SZENSEI3 months agoAuthorDear Readers of STARTING FROM SCRATCH and STARTING GATE. Occasionally I receive Anonymous emails asking me to continue this series. I wish to inform they and everyone that this series now LIVES over on the website STORIESONLINE.COM. I moved it over there for the simple reason that I can go darker into TABOO territory than I am allowed to submit here on LIT. When dealing with a HIGH SCHOOL environment there is simply no way to expand without realizing that not every student is 18. Topics such as that, or on occasion bestiality are not allowed here. Over on SOL I can be free to explore those taboos without the chapter being rejected.
So, to let all of the diehard fans of SCRATCH know once and for all, you can still read this series which has been COMPLETELY OVERHAULED to look far better than it could here. My grammar skills still suffer but nonetheless the stories look 100% better otherwise. Pictures included! The SCRATCH series ended here on EPISODE 178 but on SOL it has reached EPISODE 304 as of three days ago. STARTING GATE has merged with SCRATCH over there and the series has been renamed NASHVILLE PUSSY. Yes, I am aware of a band with that name, but it does not mean it cannot be adopted as the new title when it is a vague reference. What I find funny about such a great band is that they are not even from Nashville. Ironically, they hail from Atlanta Georgia. LOL! Where PIPER CHERRY is from. What a coincidence. God Bless those Southern Boys!
At any rate for your PIPER and JOSIE itch swing on over to SOL and look the ladies up. My advice? START FROM SCRATCH all over again. Each original chapter has up to 1000-3000 more words of story and plot. I've thrown even the kitchen sink into the series. 6 EPISODES RELEASED MONTHLY!
As you may notice I still offer new material like MIDNIGHT, SADIE OUTLAW, RAVEN NEVERMOURN, and others here on LIT. I absolutely love the people in this community, and I will remain here as long as LIT will have me. Just not in the case of SCRATCH. It needed to be able to breath more. I hope everyone understands and looks NASHVILLE PUSSY up on SOL to enjoy a remarkable run that has no end. If DAYS OF OUR LIVES lasted over 20 years on TV so can my Soap Opera Porn. LOL!
